It’s OK and does the job – This review is for the TS-130. I have a very specific use case and this was the only product I could find that seemed like it would work for me at this price point.. I use it as an on premises back-up of my cloud storage. The QNAP user guide that in the box is incomplete and assumes that you want to connect your drive to the cloud and use their phone app. I found the interface far too cute and cumbersome. I had to do a google search to find out how to map the drive to Windows. QNAP assumes that you want to do everything in the browser based interface. There are other tools, but you have to dig for them.

Quick install – Had an old TS-212 that was working fine but getting pretty old and was quite slow at times. It is so old that system updates stopped working.

Game Changer for the cord cutter – This little nas is powerfull, 1 bay, 2gb ram and works great as my emby driver. Been wanting a simple way to record dvr style and this does just that. I didnt want a large nas for a large collection and was looking for local storage for all my iptv and homerun shows. It works as needed. Very quiet and only was able to hear it at 1st time I turned it on, now nothing. Simple setup and only drawback was the built in app store which only had a few things. I had to load my emby manually unlike other nas devices that had it in the store. Not a big deal. You cant beat the quality vs price with this mini nas. Not even close.
