Does not use a Nema 5-15P power cord – I assume this is a great switch. However, I am unable to use it as all of my parking lot poles are wired for Nema 5-15P plugs. I will need to find an adapter before I am able to use it.

Finally let me retire an older UniFi Switch – I upgraded from one of the first gen UniFi switches that had 24V Passive and 802.3af. I upgraded to the newer Pro Switch that supports 802.3at (PoE+) and 802.3bt (PoE++), not realizing that they’d dropped 24V passive support between generations.

Does not work with Unifi 6 Lite AP! – There are too many POE standards out there and it’s super confusing, so I bought the POE injector that advertised itself to work with Ubiquiti. But alas I received and it doesn’t work with my Unifi 6 Life AP. It turns out that the new Wifi 6 access point requires 48V while this POE injector is 24V.

Nice compact poe solution – I built a unifi wifi network for our large home. The ubiquity poe edgerouter x couldn’t handle the wattage and the APs were rebooting under load. So I switched to to the bundled poe injectors. That resolved the power issue but was really messy. This is a much cleaner solution than a bunch of single injectors. Meshes well with my patch panel, way less power plugs, and cost effective compared to the ubiquiti injectors.

Small Package, Powerful Capabilities! – Does just what it implies: Gives you 4 POE ports. Very useful to avoid having 4 POE adapters stacked up in an area. For the money, this 4-port POE hub is a bargain. I’m running multiple Wireless Access Points (WAP’s) and a 900MHZ Point To Point (PTP) connection from this one hub.
