Excellent open rack for home and small office, with very reasonable price – First, the TLDR: this is a high quality open rack for home office home lab, or even small office with little traffic. The price is very reasonable. I highly recommend for these usage. For a commercial communication rack, or for location with tough environment (e.g. high dust, humidity, or even semi outdoor) this unit lacks the powder coating needed to survive long term (think 10-15 years). You need to look for more expensive racks than this one.

WARNING not for serious PC use – This is sturdy and easy to assemble and consumer-friendly I guess, but only if you’re going to be putting in shelves and simple things, or maybe some lower-end audio gear. Do not pretend this is a functional 4 post rack that you can mount stuff on rails with. Why? This only uses 10/32 screws and you cannot use the square holes for cage nuts. They have them there taunting you, but unless you want to mount your gear sideways there’s no way to use them.
