Simple to use. – Seems to be rock solid. The logs are nice when someone tells you it was not working as desired. We basically use these to allow remote access – turn the workstation off when leaving the office and on when needed from home. Also, with Covid, or anyone working from home, it is nice to be able to forcibly restart your workstation remotely when things go sideways. The UI is a bit odd, but you should figure it out in a few minutes. Be careful when changing passwords – create another user with a simple password BEFORE changing the Admin Password. There appear to be several characters that can be entered for passwords THAT ARE NOT ALLOWED, but the UI does not tell you, it just accepts them, but they are not in the password. It is simple enough to default the device and start over if you do not have the backdoor user. Lots of features like Watchdog and Scheduling that we do not use. We have several and I would recommend these to anyone for any device [unit is 10 amps max] – not just computers.

Works at basic level with IOS; Fully operational in Windows environment. – Did not realize that this was designed for Windows interface. Out of the box, works reliable as a rebooter in Mac environment but cannot get into more advanced features. And, can get a simple WI-FI-interrupted rebooter for half the cost of this box. So, if you are using Windows, do consider it but, if not, continue browsing (my very simple ConnectSense rebooter does the job).

Very flexible setup to meet any use case – I use this to remotely and automatically reboot both my cable modem and WiFi router at our mountain cabin – which loses either network connectivity and/or power fairly often. Since I’ve added smart security camera’s, locks, and thermostat, I used to lose all smart home functionality when internet or power was lost. Now, this box will reset/power-on my cable modem and then my WiFi router in sequence when either the network or power comes back on. This reliably brings my mountain house back online without me having to be there or do anything. It just self corrects the problem and the smart house comes back online.

Tests if internet is off, then restarts my modem/router and smartthings – It took a while but this device proved itself useful today by doing exactly what it was designed to do and that is restart my modem/router/mesh Wi-Fi and smartthings when it detects the internet is down for over 4 minutes.

Perfect Solution for my problem – I have two Internet gateways from different ISPs – one for business and one for residential. I restart both at least once per month for security reasons. Occasionally, the one that controls my cameras, wireless light switches, thermostat, hubs for TV remotes, etc., loses the wireless connection, requiring it to be restarted. So, I have two situations where one or both gateways need to be reset regularly, requiring that I physically go to where they are in order to do that.
