Just be aware that you can’t use the charging ports to transfer data, and even though it does have a power supply, the power only goes to the charging ports. You won’t be able to use any power hungry devices like a portable hard drive that gets its power through the USB connection. Thumb drives work well, and I did hook up an external 3.5″ 7200 RPM drive that has its own external power plug without any problems.
