The network graph is invaluable, PoE is great! – I use these to power my cloud key and my in home cameras. They have a great user experience and look nice too.

A+ Item as described – I had need to create a special vlan with a second router for non UniFi equipment that needed poe. I can’t say enough about the Ubiquiti networking hardware lineup. Configured the switch and the controller to not have dhcp for the vlan, hooked in to the other router, plugged in poe equipment, and just worked. I would recommend if you need vlan setups and poe, and I would purchase again.

There are only 4 POE ports. Not 8 with 4 being POE+. – This is the first review where I’m ripping a Ubiquiti product. They’re usually a great value for the money. I’m less convinced in this case. We replaced an older ToughSwitch with 8 POE ports.

Somewhat unexpected issue. – Only thing I can say about this device is when I first plugged in a PoE powered device to port 1 it wouldn’t power up. Moved to port 2 and it worked as expected.

Just like what you should expect from a Unifi product! – I have been a long term user of unifi equipments and so far out of tens of products, the only product I had issue with is the NVR, everything else is just great!

Easy setup – This PoE hub is essentially plug and play. Power it up, plug in the non powered data CAT6 or CAT5 into the non powered side and then the CAT6/5 Ethernet into the powered side and onto my AP (in my case).
