Easy Setup – I purchased this for a desktop computer that did not have a wireless network card. The computer is not used a lot and only for light surfing on the web. I was looking for something easy to install. This was it. Plugged it in and connected it to the WiFi and it works great.

It works after changing settings. – It took a bit of time to learn how the rotating mechanic worked, but now I can say that overall it works much better than my laptop’s built-in PCIe Wi-fi adapter. It fits nicely when my laptop is flexed, and has a solid connection. The speeds are around less than half what I usually get on a 5 GHz connection (~180 mbps, down from 400 mbps) probably because I haven’t plugged it into a faster USB port. What was important to me was that I had a stronger connection than before, and this delivers on that. I went from 2-3 bars with my laptop’s built-in Wi-fi adapter to a full 4 bars (5 bars in the Task manager).

Worked to get a better signal for the laptop – My friend, who lives in an assisted living apartment, was too far away from the access point on his floor to get a reliable wifi signal on his laptop. I’ve purchased many TP-Link wifi products over the years and thought this one with it’s high gain antenna would be just the ticket to help him get a better wifi connection. I also purchased an amazon basics 9.8 feet USB 3.0 extension cable and using some double sided sticky tape put the wifi adapter high up on the wall in his apartment. This increased his wifi signal and he now has no trouble with his internet connection.

10/10 recommend this product – This device works amazing on my pc. I just received today and it only took 5 minutes to set up. I have an Xfinity router and it’s pretty much on the other side of my house, far away from my computer, so I barely even receive a weak signal from my computer. After 2 years of suffering from weak-to-no signal and trying many different wifi extenders and receivers, I found this adapter and decided to try it out. It works perfectly on a desktop and is super easy to set up. I can finally establish a strong connection to my super far away router. There’s little to no buffering at all when streaming videos, but a VERY big leap from where I was before using this. Amazing product.

Incredibly, Lenovo does not sell the part anymore so I searched far and wide for the part and had to live with a wired connection which wouldn’t connect to my 5G network until Amazon flashed this fantastic product on my home page. I decided to try it and so far so good! I’m on 5G and bye-bye ethernet cable!

So easy!!! – With how inexpensive this was, I was thinking it can’t possibly work well. Not only was I wrong but VERY wrong! I was all ready to be disappointed when I took it out of the box. Took it out, plugged it in then inserted the driver disk into my non wireless desktop. My computer ran the driver update in about 2 minutes and next thing you know I was on our wireless internet!!! SO easy!!!!!! I am totally not a techie at all and this was so surprising and exciting for me that I did it!
