Gets The Job Done – It gets the job done for the most part. The only reason it’s 4 stars and not 5 stars is that our wi-fi connection from one of the bedrooms (furthest from router) doesn’t get great connection. To be fair, I don’t know if that’s because of the router’s limits, our internet company’s limits, or otherwise. But it’s not a huge house so I was hoping I can get every part of the house connected without potentially looking at alternative options.

Great Wifi upgrade, app could be better, firmware update required – This router tremendously improved my wifi speed and coverage as a replacement to a similarly priced brand name router that was a few years old. Setup was easy and I like that I can easily manage a guest network as well. There was a notable hiccup in that the router suddenly started dropping connections after a couple days, but then I found that it needed a firmware update after digging through the app trying to troubleshoot, and that solved the problem; I only wish the app had notified me but there was no alert or prompt to do the update. I also got the same router for my mom and it’s similarly solved her prior wifi issues (and I made sure to do the firmware update proactively… again, the app didn’t notify me that it was needed), and I bought a similar TP Link router for my dad. I’m managing all three in my Tether app and it’s a bit confusing because I can’t give them different names to help tell which is which in the main screen. And now I can’t see all three in the app any more, even though I bound them all to my TP Link account for remote support. So I’m not in love with the Tether app and it seems a little more development effort there could make the app much better for users of all TP Link routers, but overall I would buy (and have already bought) this router again for the value and improvement to my wifi strength.

Great Coverage – Easy to setup. Covers the whole house, with great wireless coverage. No dropping throughout. No need for extenders.

OK! – Looks OK, but not use at this moment. If I’ll have any problem, update my comments.

Setting Up Is SO Easy – BEFORE: A few months ago, I set up a replacement (used) router on my network. I had to connect a laptop to it so I could set up the network name and password and as is usual with setting up routers, it was a painful process. In turn, after it was set up I had to then visit every wifi device in my house (there are many) and set the new wifi details. AFTER: I was expecting similar pain after I bought this router but the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. No laptop required. Everything was set up via the app (which you get by scanning the provided QR code). I opened the app, found the new router, set it all up via the easy app wizard, and in no time I was up and running. It even reconfigured most of my Echo Dots without me even having to go into the Alexa app or manual set-up of the devices. The whole thing was so easy, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Oh and the even happier ending to the story? I’m not seeing speeds in excess of 300Mbps (on a 200Mbps package). Sweet.

Great! – Set this up inside the shop as an access point. Exactly what we needed!

    7. D. J (verified owner)

Not working excellent for me – Description says I will have two networks but I couldn’t get. I couldn’t find any difference than my replaced one.
