10 reviews for Router Alcatel Link Hub 4G LTE Unlocked

– Installed in vacation home and left for the winter… Deployed for environmental monitoring and security. Running steady for 6-7 months without interruption. Noticeable capacitor whine which is suspect but otherwise have not experienced any noticeable disconnections and if they’ve occurred, they have resolved themselves fast enough to have not received a notification from the connected equipment. Not the fastest device and doesn’t have substantial Wi-Fi coverage but overall for remote monitoring connectivity, has been working as expected.

Okay for part-time telephone use if you get a good unit, and if you don’t use much high-speed data – I got the Alcatel LTE router thinking it would provide a full-time telephone line and internet access to replace the increasingly very expensive and slow DSL and phone service I have with AT&T.

Good device, just not packaged and configured for English. – Came with documentation in Portuguese or something. Also, device was configured the same. Once I found and downloaded an English manual and figured out how to get the device changed to English, it was easy to configure and it works well. The range isn’t phenomenal, but you can hook it to a more powerful wifi hub, if you need to. Also, it isn’t battery powered like some others, so it isn’t really geared for on-the-go use. Overall, I would recommend this unit, especially for someone that doesn’t have good internet options in their area.

Despite a couple of negatives device works as advertised – I have been searching for a replacement for my AT&T/ZTE 3G home phone device for months and this is the first unlocked 4G/VoLTE device I found that can be purchased and returned in the USA. The device does what it says it will but configuration is difficult because it defaults to web pages in Spanish with French and Portuguese as options but no English. However, if you access the device with Chrome and activate “Translation” the pages do make sense. It works well with an AT&T 5G smartphone SIM but AT&T MVNO PureTalk’s Technical Support informed it will not work on their network. With the shutdown of 3G/HSPA+ and transition to 5G, PureTalk no longer supports any device that works on AT&T. They have a short list of devices that work with their service and this device isn’t included. I’m still trying to determine if the policy is limited to PureTalk, if other MVNO’s are doing the same and if the change is foisted upon them by AT&T. My previous AT&T/ZTE home phone device worked on PureTalk for almost a decade before the Match 3G/HSPA+ shutdown. I may end up porting my home number from the current $7/mo PureTalk line to a $20/mo AT&T line. I guess you can’t win them all…

Does what it says. Works with Mint. No TTL. – Xfinity keeps dropping out where I live. I work from home so I needed a backup option. For some reason my employers internal tools would not function on an iPhone / Android hotspot properly. As a desperate last attempt I decided to try this.
