Works with my fax – I bought a WiFi unit for my fax. The unit wouldn’t connect to my WiFi out of the box so, setup to connect it required help from their tech support, which was a bit frustrating because it was on their schedule, not mine. But, it works now and is very cost effective.

MagicJack Plus vs NetTalk Duo vs NetTALK DUO WiFi compared – Which is best? – I own the MajicJack Plus and NetTALK DUO WiFi. They both work well enough in my opinion. You have to have a fast and reliable Internet connection, greater then 128 Mbs, or you shouldn’t buy these products and have a right to complain. NetTALK DUO offers caller ID blocking for anonymous calling, and call blocking for blocking individual callers, and costs $20 less than MajicJack Plus. NetTALK DUO WiFi cost the same as MajicJack Plus, and offers you the ability to plug your telephone into a location anywhere in your home away from a computer or router. Both companies offer a 30-day free trial warranty. MagicJack Plus offers a $1 yearly warranty, but you still have to pay for shipping which could cost 30-75% of what you paid for the device (depending whether or not it was damaged or it just stopped working). MagicJack Plus is $10 a year cheaper if you buy an additional 5-years of service in advance. Also, MagicJack Plus can be $10-$20 a year cheaper if you don’t import over your old number. According to many reviews, both companies have acted in bad faith and have the worst customer service ever. Since both devices have a breakage factor, be prepared to be out of service for several weeks while you are trying to get customer service to replace your device. Both products suffer glitches from time to time, none of which are consistent or experienced by the majority of users. Beware of the hype and the comparison articles written about these products, as there appears to be a lot of dishonest positive and negative reviews possibly seeded by the companies themselves. In summary, MagicJack is a little cheaper, and NetTALK offers some additional features. Both products work well the majority of the time with potential inconveniences, but the price is so cheap that I can afford to live with those inconveniences and buy an extra one to keep on the shelf for emergencies.
