Netgear Support is 960 series system works amazingly well – Bought the 960 series after having a great experience with the 850 series at my other place. Rated 5 stars. Great download/upload speeds. Not proud that I paid $1500 for this. However, the system works. I am getting around 800MBs speed at close range. At first I was getting much slower speeds. I called Netgear support. They guided me through the process of upgrading the device’s firmware manually as their app was not upgrading the firmware automatically. Albeit, it would have been easier if the firmware automatically upgraded but it wasn’t a big deal that Netgear support had to do it. The phone wait times were not really long, you get US based customer support, and then they also called me on their own 24 hours later to make sure everything was working perfectly. You pay for it but then you also get premium US based tech support to make sure it gets setup right.

Crazy fast, reasonably reliable. Software is buggy though. – I recently upgraded my network to 2.5 Gb ethernet, got a faster modem, and installed these Orbis. Wow things are fast now!

So happy, finally! – After years of struggling to find fast reliable mesh coverage of our house, we’ve finally found the solution! We have for a few years been shuffling through the eeros and even with their 6 pro the internet is unreliable. Frequent drop offs even in front of the units. Lots of troubleshooting with customer service which was actually hit or miss, we decided enough was enough. We had for years said we would pay whatever it cost for fast, reliable coverage so when I saw the Orbi and the price point, we said “sure, why not”. After 1 week we’ve been thrilled! Getting the speeds we expected with eero and the reliability is incredible! No drop offs or issues whatsoever. The speed is a few 100 mbps FASTER than eero at the respective locations and even at the remote areas of our house we’re getting more than 100mbps

Absolutely horrendous software. STAY AWAY! – WARNING: Several modems (including SpaceX’s StarLink specifically) have issues renewing DHCP leases. Constantly unplugging the WAN port from RBRE is required for new lease and internet functionality!
