First device shipped did not work – When setting up, the device would look like it was working for about 10 minutes and then would throw an “invalid sim” error and shortly after would switch to a “no service” error. Tech support got it working again but about 10 minutes later it again threw an “invalid sim” error and would thereafter give a “no service” error.

Was a little hesitant at first about buying this – So I had an iPad with the added cellular service which recently broke ended up buying a Samsung tablet which did not have the cellular capability. Purchased this device with the idea to put the chip from the iPad into it to use with my new tablet. when I first put in the chip it gave me an invalid SIM message. Ended up taking the chip out of my cell phone and put it into the device and it picked it up and recognized it as a T-Mobile device. Tried the iPad chip in the hotspot once again and this time it recognized it. The issue I was having was 5 or 10 minutes into being connected it would suddenly drop and say “invalid SIM” if I reset the device it would work for a little while then give me the exact same message. What I ended up doing is turning off Wi-Fi (service still shows by doing this just nothing can connect when you do this) chip still showed it had service then I went into the menu and saw that there was a firmware update ended up downloading that and installed (takes like 18 min) once the new firmware was installed device rebooted turned Wi-Fi back on and now device works as I was expecting have been running on this for 2 days with no issues on my $10 add-on plan.

Performs Marvelously – Wi-fi signal strength is based on your location, so check your providers coverage map to see signal strength. My device exceeded my expectations. I stream 1080 Netflix, surf the internet, and run numerous smart devices simultaneously with zero buffering.

Great Wi-Fi hotspot – This one specifically required a T-Mobile account. I took it with me from Indiana to Northern Montana and south Trey Wyoming and Nebraska and back to Indiana and the reception was great at 5G

Will not work with TMobile hotspot plan beware!!! – This is NOT A 5G hotspot do not get this if you are planning to go wireless …. Which is the whole point of getting this in the first place

Excellent speed is VERY dependent of location – 5G Lte speed was anywhere from 50 mbs to 180 mbs download. I tried half dozen common places that I visit daily. Best speed seems to be around major highways and business complexes. Slowest is unfortunately in my house in the back room surrounded by many walls. This is expected as walls block radio signals. However Im very happy at home to get download score of 130 mbs download by setting the small box in the middle of the living room on the poker table. See my screenshot by Ookla Speedtest. Mobile data was turned off so it was just using the cell Wifi to talk to the 5G box. At just over 100 usd for renewed, a bargain. Would recommend and buy another!
