Great Travel Router if you don’t need to share media, files – This device works very well for the most part. Achieved more than reasonable speeds while using and can connect multiple device (3 to 4) without much performance slowdown. The version of the OpenWrt firmware appears to be a few versions behind the latest version offered on other devices. If you are looking to use this thing to share files from a USB drive, forget it, it’s not supported. Spent some time trying to get it working and then reviewed the specs and learned it’s not supported, even though the media/file sharing options do appear in the Applications section of the Admin page. If you don’t need that function this works & performs very well otherwise.

Great compact OpenWRT based travel router – In particular, considering the price, this is a very nice travel router. I just used it on a one week trip, and had no problems with it. The router supports various uplink options. I used WiFi to connect to hotel WiFi and tethered to my phone via USB. Both modes worked well. The phone worked a bit better due to overall hotel wifi issues.

    3. Z. T (verified owner)

Great little router for away stays. – I was able to completely set this up in my hotel in about 10 minutes. My VPN caused a little issue, but otherwise this was a good buy. The hotel i stay at has 5 mb wifi but has ethernet in some rooms. I hooked this up, set it up and have 30 mb wifi. this limit is just the hotel speed, not anything with the unit. So a 6X improvement. I like it.

    4. H. F (verified owner)

Wish the usb port was 3.0 instead of 2.0, otherwise great small wifi router – Excellent range, portable works well. I wish I would have sprung another $30 for their nicer model with usb 3.0 ports as the usb 2.0 ports on this limit my tethering speed to about 5gb/s. I may try using a usb-c to ethernet adapter for tethering and see if its faster. Bottom line is it’s good for the price and if you connect via wifi rather than tethering via usb, it will transfer data faster.

This is great! – Received this router today. I was looking for a router I could use with my hotspot. This works perfectly and was so easy. It was up and running in 10 minutes.

    6. M. D (verified owner)

Not Bad for the price. – I have a lot of routers better then this and equal to it. But I am finding I use this one most if not all the time.

If you want to add WiFi to a wired network just plug it in and go – My wife works for a company that does not provide WiFi for employees, her signal on 4G/5G on her phone is flaky so she misses calls all the time. Her PC has a network cable, so I purchased this for her to remove the network cable from the back of the PC and plug it into the LAN port of this device, then plug the supplied cable into the other LAN port on the device and the other end in the back of the PC. After a minute or two the PC continues to work as normal, and the WiFi signal is strong for her phone to access and use calling over WiFi as well as faster internet speeds for her phone. To do this you have to logon to the interface and select Access Point Mode instead of traditional Router Mode.

Nice compact router/access point. VPN is super easy to set up and use. Love it. – Well packaged and easy to set up. If you have ever installed a router, extender, or access point, then you will be surprised how easy this is to get going. Large deck of cards small with sturdy antennas which fold solidly out of the way. You do need external power for this as it does not support POE, but that would be unusual for this price point and intended function. I have no complaints choosing this unit. It can support a standalone intranet, create a unique and secure node/subnet on your existing internet/WiFi, or run off a cell hotspot.
