Great panel, but beware the angled terminals – I installed two of these in a new cabinet. They’re a solid, high quality product that I would purchase again. That being said, I fell victim to the same issue as many other people: not having the correct punchdown tool. Cable Matters, if you’re listening, maybe you should sell the correct tool to go with these. It would help a lot of people. As it happened, I had a couple packs of Leviton Ethernet keystones with me that include the little plastic punchdown tool in the package. I ended up using that to terminate everything in the cabinet and finish the job. Not exactly a precision instrument, but it worked!

Very cheap/great value – I’m coming from a side of network admin where the patch panels were always built by hand. Given how much I spent on this I’m not sure why I’d ever do that again. This thing is very study and well-constructed. Its segmented out in portions of the panel so if one port goes down you do have to take out an entire section to replace or repair it which means about 5 other users would lose connectivity.

Great for first timers – Been in IT For years and I’ve always wanted to run cabling through the house. Finally pulled the trigger on this and borrowed a punch-down toolkit from a friend. I’ve never done this before, but have been handy with other tasks in the past – and all I can say was that punching the cables down on this product was the easiest and best part of the process. The punch downs are all labeled (for both A and B standards, I ran A) and easy to read so you know you’re putting the right cable in. 24 Ports is probably overkill for my house, but at least I’ll never run out of open ports, and have an excuse to get rackmounted gear!

    4. K. H (verified owner)

Good Startup Rack – I bought this rack to create my own home network. I drew upon my IT experience and jumped in. It’s a good sturdy rack and simple to install. “Measure twice drill once”, when mounting the rack. You will definitely need the Krone install tool.

Good product but disappointed – The product is excellent, however I am disappointed that they were not sent with any caps for the back. Those caps are essential for keeping the cables pressed down into the punch Downs. When a patch panel is removed there is usually a tug on the cable, those caps would help keep the cables in their place. All other patch panels come with them, I am unsure why this product is not. Otherwise the product works really well.

    7. T. K (verified owner)

Need a patch panel fast and this fit the ticket perfectly. – Was in a jam and ordered this patch panel, delivered next day with prime at no charge. Can’t go wrong with that.

    8. R. K (verified owner)

Easy to use, high quality, each punch down worked the first time – Easy to use, labeled well with T568-A and -B. Punches are split 4 in top 4 on bottom (vs usual 8 together on one side) probably to keep the twist intact for CAT6 quality. I punched down 20 of the ports and they all worked first try. It is sturdy too. The labels are a little off (by a few millimeters) but easy enough to tell what is what when working on it. I will use this again for my next job.

    9. G. G (verified owner)

Works perfectly – This is the second time I am purchasing this panel. Have had no issues with it and it works perfectly.
