Perfect to connect two SFP+ devices – I have been upgrading my network to 10GB so I order a 10GB SFP+ card for my Synology enterprise NAS. Using this SFP+ cable I attached it to the NAS and to my Microtik 10Gb switch. Bam, 10Gb speeds from a 6 year old NAS. (It might be 6 years old but it has a Xeon 2.7Ghz processor, 32 GB ram and 12 10TB SAS drives. Well worth upgrading I’d say. Previously the NAS had 4 1Gb ethernet connection.

Fine with Ubiquiti Unifi gear – It’s connecting a Unifi dream machine pro to a unifi switch. No drama. The big reason for using this link between the two is that it’s supposed to take less power, which means both devices run just a little bit cooler.
