Great all in one switch with 10G Bach bone. – Love this switch. Plugged it into my network and my unifi controller found it and adopted it right away. Got it all upgraded and it is Rick’s and tiling as intended. The auto sense POE is great i have multiple AP’s and IP phones plugged in and everything came to life with no effort from me. It does weigh more than i thought it would but the POE power adds more to the total. Will be buying more of these switches to utilize the 10G fiber uplinks and run 1 line to remote closets.

Very noisy – Ubiquiti claims on the product page for the USW-PRO-24-POE switch that it has “Near-silent cooling”. That’s highly misleading. The switch is very noisy. With no devices connected, the fan is running at 44% and 4300 RPM with temp at 52 degrees C.

It may be a good switch but it’s not “near-silent” as Ubiquiti claims – The claim of “near-silent” operation that Ubiquiti makes about this switch is a lie. The switch is quiet compared to other network switches that are placed in a network rack in an equipment room (IDF), but it’s loud enough to be annoying if you put it in the same room where you work or live or sleep.
