Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Lite 16 PoE – Quality built product. Pairs and power perfectly with my Ubiquiti POE access points. Using the Unifi console locally hosted, it offers great detail and management options. The poe ports can be turned off for added safety when used for non-poe devices.

Good option if you only have one or two poe devices – Love the form factor and quietness of this 16 port unifi switch, unfortunately the 45w limit on PoE wasn’t quiet enough for my need which drives two access points and 3 unifi cameras.

Replacement for another branded managed switch – This was easier to integrate with USG router and Unifi APs, but lot costlier w/o any advantage over previous cheaper managed switch.

Great switch but crippling supply-chain issues with Unifi – I set up a home Unifi network about 18 months ago, and I’ve been mostly very happy with it. However, they have been plagued by supply chain issues – even more than other vendors, and even before the pandemic. Almost all their stock is unavailable except the very high end stuff, and this has been true for many many months. I wanted to expand my network but found almost everything either unavailable or priced far above list by other vendors. As a result, I’ve been adding Netgear switches, which won’t integrate into the Unifi controller. They’re still totally usable but I’ll lose the advantage of the Unifi single-point configuration. However, I can’t justify spending 2-4x the original price to add switches. Most of the Edge Routers seem totally unavailable (I got one earlier, most of the Edge switches aren’t even shown on the website anymore). So your options are very limited and mostly over-priced. The 8 port POE lite switch is going for 50% over list, older models are far worse. About the only entry level item still in stock is this 16 Port POE Lite – I just bought another just to keep on hand because it will probably go out of stock too. (By the way, this listing is marked up significantly)
