Nice product – though severly lacking in features it SHOULD have – I’m a net admin for a small-medium sized company. I got a few of these to replace our old no-name PFSENSE edge devices at each of our sites, run our security cameras (unifi protect), and tie everything into the Unifi Network platform.

    2. L. D (verified owner)

Solved my issues – I’ve worked from home for a couple of decades, and the network over time became a mess. As I need to test (even stress test) applications and devices under various situations, I was managing two sometimes three networks while trying to keep the rest of the household happy. I’ve gone full Ubiquiti starting with the UDM Pro, redid all cabling, and now I can set up and tear down network configurations at will based upon my testing scenario needs. The entire network is faster, much easier to manage, and greatly simplified.

It does not come with a 1TB drive, just buy it at Unifi – For the amount that you are charging, I thought it came with a 1TB drive but it did not come with one. IF I have known that, I would just buy it on Unifi website for the same price.

    4. E. R (verified owner)

Internet speed is not effected as much as earlier models – Ease of setup

I probably would pass on this. – Pretty good device for the SMB market. Not sure it really has enough bus bandwidth to handle a lot of video, and I question purchasing this now that Ubiquiti is getting out of the security camera business. I’d I had it to do over I would likely just get a Juniper core router and switch separately. Software defined networking for the office doesn’t seem to be ready for production, yet. Oh, and of the STP+ ports, only one can be used for internal switching. The other is hard configured for the WAN.

Easily Handles 1GB Fiber – Migrating to this from my USG was a little tricky but once I moved over my other UniFi devices everything was a breeze. I really like being about to use the IPS/IDS system without giving up any bandwidth and that it replaces both the USG and CloudKey plus adds some switch ports. I also plan to use the SFP+ port to connect a couple of 2.5GB switches that I already have. Great device!

Way better than the soho router – Using it for home network. Security features are great and the throughput is rediculous. Been using it for a month now and I recommend it to everyone that needs speed, security and features.

BEST SERVICE EVER from BlueLine – the Amazon reseller!!!!! – The UDM-Pro is just a great device BUT… what was EXCEPTIONAL was the support and service from BlueLine Systems – the reseller on Amazon! Our UDM-Pro for our high school blew out (it was a power issue – not a hardware issue) and we needed a replacement unit ASAP. Mike from BlueLine called us and BANG- INSTANTLY reorganized the order so that it would ship out overnight. We got it the morning of the next day and we were back and running. BlueLine (and Mike!!!) ARE THE BEST!!!
