I experienced connectivity issues – I was looking for a manual usb switch to share a keyboard and mouse between my mac and windows machines, and to avoid any of the back-feed complaints associated with other usb switches. My mechanical keyboard was very flaky through this device. It felt a bit flimsy. Maybe someone with very basic usb 2 needs could benefit from it. Dropped it off at a charitable-donation center.

works – I use this to switch between two computers. I was using a sabrent switch before, but that fried one of my computers because it was supplying power back into the computer’s usb port!

Work perfect, even the other way around. – Instead of attaching two computers to one printer, I’m doing the opposite, two identical printers on one computer. All that is needed is two gender changing USB adapter’s.

Hard to come by simple USB switch – I have a desk setup where I want to switch between using my work laptop and my home desktop. In this case, the “KVM” type switches aren’t what I want because only one of the computers are active at a time. This switch is exactly what I need, and it is 100% mechanical from what I can tell.

Better than digital switches – I use this as a usb switch for one keyboard on multiple computers (single input for the keyboard, outputs to the pc’s).

UNEXPECTED PERFECT FIT, WORKS GREAT FOR MY AUDIO MIXING! – Well, I honestly did not think anything good will come out from this device. I was looking for a USB 2.0 Type B splitter but could not get any.. However the switches I have seen so far (this one included) had the undesired in/out direction set. Was at least looking for USB 2.0 in with 2 TYPE B OUT. But this was the contrary… Yet as I was browsing to order something else I added this one with NO expectation at all… thinking it’s just $8 and worst will trash it… But oh BOY! Was I wrong! This not only sat very well where I was needing it, blends in very well, and top of it the switches buttons do work well as intended between both connected computers, and though the direction of the in/out is not what I expected, yet it carries EASILY both ways from my Mackie ProFX 16 mixing board (in/out and out/in)..

Simple and functional. – Not much to say, it’s a simple device that works for the intended purpose. I do like the mechanical ‘clicking’of the switch, feels skookum. The unit itself is very lightweight, you will definitely need to anchor it with double sides tape or screws or something if you don’t want it sliding around, or simply hold it with your hand while switching it back and forth. I just stuck it to the side of the printer it is being used to switch.

Click, clacky mechanical switch!! – This thing is great! So great I actually went back and bought another! Unlike most other ones of these, this is a nice, clicky-clacky mechanical switch powering this thing. It’s not one of those all-electronic ones that switches away every time you plug something in. Plus, unlike most of them, the buttons are on the front meaning you can stack things on top of this and still have access to the buttons. And those buttons make all the difference too. You’re on 1 and want to go to 4? Press 4. You don’t have to ‘cycle’ through them like you do on other units, which, by the way, can confuse the machines they’re connected to, seeing a usb device get plugged in then instantly ripped out again. This avoids all of that.
