You need this! – I had my linksys mesh but it didnt support the speed of my provider. I was getting 120mbps around the house instead of the 300mbps I pay for. I did have great coverage but not the speed I needed now that I added wifi security cameras. This system is putting out 369mbps all over the house! The difference is night and day. Im glad I bought it on sale and save me a ton of money from the original price. If you find it on sale and you need the speed boost please do yourself a favor and get this router.

Great performance for the price! – I know there are more powerful routers out there. But for my place, this mesh router is perfect. I have owned my previous Nighthawk router for almost a decade, and up until now, I never had a desire to get a new one. I decided to go for a new ISP, however, it can only be installed in the guest bedroom. That is across the whole floor plan where I have my main pc where I have my Nighthawk hardwired into. When I moved the Nighthawk to the guest bedroom, the speeds were significantly slower to connect to my PC by wireless. Decided to purchase this Orbi. I set up the router in my guest bedroom and placed the satellite in my master bedroom where I hardwired that to my PC with ethernet and the speeds are incredible. I know the speeds would be faster if I had my PC in the guest bed bedroom, but not where it is significantly different. If you happen to want a high-performance mesh network in a relatively small residence for a great price, I highly recommend this.

Best Tech Purchase Ever! – After struggling for years with poor Wi-Fi signal strength, having tried new routers and extenders, I finally found a solution that actually works! I’ve used Xfinity high-speed broadband but never managed to get over ~135Mbps download on a consistent basis. And away from the router on the other side of the house it was hover around 60Mbps. I live in a one-story house less than 2000 sq feet.

Work from home… has improved – My husband and I both work from home. With both of us online 12-14hrs a day it caused slowness, wifi drops…. etc. The whole frustration. A friend suggested buying an Orbi Router. We do NOT REGRET this purchase! It is overpriced but has improved our home/work life.

Great Product! Packed with features! A++ – I have always used Netgear network devices for my home networks. So this was a no-brainer when I started looking for a mesh system. This system was easy to set up with the app and barcodes to scan. The system is fast, secure, and packed with features that are accessible via the Netgear app. I absolutely recommend this system to others, I do wish the additional satellites were a little cheaper to add because I need to buy one more. Heaven? No, but close. – I purchased this to increase my home’s connectivity with multiple devices connected and streaming at once. The system is simple to install and I am no tech by any stretch. During setup there was one issue, however, but this is known by Netgear and very simple to resolve. Once setup is almost complete, the app will ask you if you want to personalize the network name and password. Don’t do this. Simply keep both names the generic ones that come with the Orbi and finish the entire process. Once complete, you can go back and change them later, but doing so during setup will cause an error that may require calling customer service, so new firmware can be downloaded. Plus, while mine was brand new, it’s manufacture date was last year, so it’s firmware was outdated. Calling customer service was a snap and the rep was very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. As an example of how good this machine is, my daughter’s phone did not lose connection to the WiFi until we left our neighborhood, which is almost a mile away! I am SOOOO glad we went with Orbi and one Satellite! GOAT, no that’s Tom Brady, but Orbi sure is on the way.

Don’t be fooled by all the screenshots – Screenshots from speedtest.net should NOT be compared to the screenshots from Orbi’s built-in speed test app (the blue background images) because the speedtest.net images are over Wi-Fi and the Orbi screenshots may have been taken using a phone over Wi-Fi but the router is running the speed test directly from the modem, not over Wi-Fi. While I did see an improvement from 492 to 662 as shown in my screenshots, I’m not getting 942 over Wi-Fi like the Orbi app shows.
