Upgrade it to DD-WRT – The OEM firmware is terrible. However, the R6900P is the same as the R7000P and can be upgraded to the DD-WRT firmware. Once the firmware is changed the unit is great.

Horrible!!!’nnb – The product had been sold and returned twice before I purchased it. Inside packaging was open and the network ID and password didn’t work and tech support couldn’t assist even after having me send in proof of my purchase. It was still registered in someone else’s name a headache.

Make sure it updated the software – Wonderful WiFi signal. Puts the WiFi signal out in a long house. We moved and our house is long. I can receive WiFi on the porch. I did have to reset the router when bought though because someone had sent back the router and did not reset it. Make sure it updates and you don’t interfere with this or it will go on/off.
