For the money, it should perform better! – Why so expensive? Because you don’t care if it works for the value. So far it works average to whatever it claims to do. Nothing major or awesome on this product at all: a chunk of expensive low performer, did not increased the speed a bit. If you think expensive gadget would do better for the tag price, do more homework and don’t believe those “Experts”!

Information – The only issue that I have with this product is that you still need to have xfinity approve the device before it starts working. That made setup a little bit more difficult. When you get the device make sure to log in to its console and change the IP setting to just IPv4. It will not connect to the internet without making that change. Also if you are using Roku devices it is best to turn off 5Ghz and use only the 2.4 Ghz. Roku recommends that I also have a fair size home and 5Ghz requires close proximity to work the best. 5 GHZ does not go through wall as well. Once the setup is complete it is an excellent device.

Capable & Compatible – I’m really satisfied with this product as I usually am dealing with Motorola products. It performs very well straight out the box and has useful enhancement features. The ONLY drawback is Motorola DOES NOT like answering that phone and I’ve NEVER spoken to a LIVE AGENT (tragic, TRAGIC!!). I did however learn a quick way to get answers and assistance is thru their online mentors which (for me) is/was very helpful and smooth. In summary, it gets down as advertised.

Affordable great modem/router – I just didn’t want to pay rental fee to COMCAST when I can buy my own and it would pay off in about a year. And after that I would save at least $15 per month. I don’t know why I didn’t think about this earlier.

Great all-in-one solution – I bought this to replace an installation for a family member that had a separate modem and router. Setup using the local web interface was very easy. Initially I placed it in the basement of their small 1250 sq. ft. home. However, the WiFi signal strength on the backyard patio had already dropped two bars. I installed it in the family room and the strength went to maximum so I left it there. The only thing I can complain about is the weaker signal strength. The most time-consuming aspect was making the mistake of calling Comcast customer service to provision the new modem. I do my own provisioning using the Xfinity iPhone app, but for this one, since they had never downloaded or installed any application I decided to try the Comcast telephone support. Big mistake. I was transferred to an offshore level one support person that could not understand or speak much English. We ended up scheduling a technician who had it provisoned in about 5 minutes.
