Great for traveling – Most hotels have terrible “free” Wifi. I take this along with a small switch and hook up my laptop setup with a direct ethernet connection. The SIM card/Tmobile sees this as a cell phone so you are not using up hotspot data.

Great Wifi Signal, Open WRT with lots of adv features, only works on T-Mobile – So I picked this up to use with my Rp subscription but I ended up not being able to use it and had to pick up another Sim card just to do the review. When I originally got the unit it was supposed to be unlocked in the USA. However the USA carriers have changed their minds in the last months and now restrict which devices can work on their GSM networks with T-Mobile being the only somewhat-exception. This means that this unit only works on T-Mobile. So I tested it out and the speeds I got were…. good. Not really better than any phone especially those with Carrier-Aggregation or anything which kind of does hurt the viability of this product.

Failing after 1 month – This little router worked great for a weeks and weeks, but suddenly is emitting a loud, crunchy whining noise. Absolutely a capacitor failure – the device is holding out for the moment, but I don’t trust it any more!

Look promising, but a poor product and worse… – Seller/manufacturer is deceptive by repackaging used/repaired unit as a new one. Because it’s used, it needs to be hard reset upon arrival. Otherwise, there’s no way to access the admin panel without a password. Problem is that the hard reset doesn’t work either because it’s a tiny hole no pin can easily get in. So it basically sold a unit “dead” on arrival. Will NOT try this brand again.
