Compact. Instructions wrong. Works fine. – This is an alternative to using your hotspot on your phone if you have that option or buying a similar ‘hotspot’ from your carrier. The instructions say to use the info on the back of the device to log in. There is no such info. The SSID is not anywhere to be found and you have to scroll through the menus to find it.

Works well when you get it setup etc – This is a bit complicated and honestly, if you have a fairly new phone, you are better off using your own hotspot to connect unless you don’t have that option. If you don’t and you still need this kind of device, this one will do the job BUT you have to exercise some patience in getting it to work the way it is supposed to. It is easy to travel with as it is small BUT make sure you figure it out before you leave otherwise you will be wasting a bunch of time doing so.

Serviceable travel internet access, good value for the price point – This is a perfectly serviceable mobile wifi hotspot. If you choose the ‘pay as you go’ option you’ll definitely pay more. Despite the gripes of some of the other reviews, $5 per GB is in line with what other international access internet services charge. They charge not only by the GB but how long you have to use it. For example, on my last trip I got a 5 GB 7 day package on my other mobile router for $32. That’s a little over $6 per gig if you’re scoring at home.

Ridiculously expensive! – So basically after paying $100 for the privilege of being able to pay the more money you’re going to get charged five dollars per gigabyte that only lasts one day. It goes down a little bit more gigabytes you buy but it goes up considerably the longer the expiration period of which the maximum is only 15 days. they do a good job of concealing their hidden costs which I find extremely disingenuous. The hardware is OK but there are dozens of others just as good on the market that don’t lock you into a single provider and they certainly don’t rake you over the coals like this thing does.
